Putting others first

I first met Tim at a clothing distribution event we were having in a church in Bartlick. He drove up and had someone come inside and get me because he was too weak to get out of the car. He told me he heard i was giving away clothes and some food bags to those in need. I asked him his size.. He immediately said they weren't for him and he knew a couple that had been staying at a hotel in another town that were homeless and could use some clothes. He told me about them, what they liked,we got them a few things, he called them right then, and let me talk to them and get them what they really needed. Later he even brought them back over to get the food items and return a few of the things they couldn't wear. Even in his affliction, he was tuned in to helping others less fortunate. Tim and I talked about many things that day including how he found Jesus many years before. I told him Jesus was the same as when he found him and that the thing to remember was our Lord never leaves us or forsakes us even when we feel alone. I saw and spoke to Tim many times after that and fell in love with his family. I can say for sure (told me himself) that he had accepted Jesus as his savior. I hope all those that loved him find great comfort in that because for those that are in Christ to be separate from the body is to be present with the Lord!!! 2 Corinthians 5:8 He will be greatly missed. Love ya'll so much ! Barb
