Raven, VA- Polly Jean Keen, age 61, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at her home. Born August 31, 1955 in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Stella Kelly. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stacy Wayne Deel, half-sister, Lula (Lincous) Yates, brothers, Kyle (Pansy) Kelly and Grayson and Godford Blankenship.
Survivors include her husband, David Keen, her children, Freda (Jamie) Hale, Lail (Amanda) Deel, Tracy (Bonnie) Deel and Renee (Zack) Dye, grandchildren, Ashley (Jerry) Shortt, Kloie Deel, Hunter Deel, Jaxon Large and Eli Dye, a sister, Peggy (deceased Clayton) Deel, two brothers, Johnny (Betsy) Kelly and Jimmie (Martha) Kelly both of Haysi and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders Roger Coleman and Jackie Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
