Patsy Avery

Haysi, VA – Patsy Avery, age 66 of Bartlick, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her residence. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Emma Edwards Stanley. She was a graduate of Haysi High School and was last employed by Walmart of Grundy, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clinton Charles Stanley, Fred Stanley, and Phillip Stanley.
Survivors include two daughters, Ariel Avery and Sara (Anthony) Angeles, eight grandchildren, four brothers, Clinard Stanley of Haysi, Luther Stanley of Garden City, MI, Roger Stanley of Clintwood, and Ronald Stanley of Alto, GA, and two sisters, Manthalee Hopson of Adrian, MI and Lillian Bach of Haysi.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church with Luther Stanley officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
