GARY LEE HILL
Clintwood, VA- Gary Lee Hill, age 61, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Norton, VA, he was a son of the late Ervin Hill and Virginia Vanover. He was owner and operator of Hill Construction and member of Faith Bible Church. He was an avid fisherman and strong supporter of Haysi and Ridgeview athletics. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Rose, brothers, Kenny, Lowell, Sidney, Eddie Wayne and Carrol and father-in-law, Nolan Rasnick.
Survivors include his wife, Melba, two sons, Kenny (Penny) Hill and Brandon (Kayla) Hill both of Clintwood, grandchildren, Guage Hill, Peyton Hill and Owen Hill, sisters, Joyce (Junior) Slone and Sue Fleming both of Clinchco, Debbie (Warren) Younce of Nevada OH, Nadine Rowe and Inis (Wayne) Counts both of Clintwood, mother-in-law, Arbutus Rasnick and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home with Caleb Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Phipps Cemetery, Clintwood, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1 at the funeral home.
