Bee, VA – Harold Lee Presley, age 85, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born March 8, 1929, he was a son of the late Charlotte Presley. Harold was a retired coal miner last employed by Clinchfield Coal Company where he worked for 30 years. Harold served in the Army for two years during the Korean War, and was a member of UMWA local #1256. He was a member of the Free Christian Church since January 1, 1990. Harold was married to Madeline Sutherland Presley for 47 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Lee (Lonnie) Breeding of Lebanon, VA, son, Frank (Renee) Presley of Haysi, VA, and a daughter, Lorrie (Tony) Deel of Bee, VA, grandchildren, David (Amy) Deel, Scott (Sherry) Presley, Tony (Bobbie) Deel, Kristy Presley, Beth Breeding, Destiny Presley, Alexis Breeding, Breanna Presley, Nicholas Breeding, 14 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, and special friends raised as family, Fontell Presley and Kyle Presley.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Edward Tiller and Tommy Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Sutherland Cemetery, Bee. Pallbearers will be David Deel, Tony Deel, Scott Presley, Peanut Gilbert, Josh Gilbert, Mackenzie Carter, and Thomas Deel. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15 at the funeral home where an evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
