A GREAT FRIEND!!!!

Gary Kennith Hay I first meet him as our bus driver. I remember one morning he picked us up first we road to the head of the bus route and started picking up kids. When we got to Greg Barton’s house no one was at the road so Garry hit the horn the button stuck, he stopped the bus grabbed the emergency brake and out the door he went to stop that horn, but, well you know there would be a but, the emergence brake did not latch and the bus started rolling with him in front. All was well one of us pushed the brake and another pulled and latched the E-brake. I will never forget the face Gary was making while trying to stop the bus and pull the wire from that horn. I remember so many things we did or that I got to do because of him. Like staying in the town hall in Haysi, getting to be locked in one of the jail cells one of the 4 they had back then. I also remember the projector room in Haysi Theater now that was something big to me back then, the times we went fishing and to the tractor pulls. He was the first person to offer me a beer, I didn’t take it but I guess you still remember stuff like that. He was the reason I went to the tractor where I meet Teresa. I owe him a BIG THANKS for that night. He told me after the tractor that little girl well be calling you and she did. Let me explain he called me that day and wanted me to go with him to that tractor pull I didn’t know there was going to be one that night just over 28 years ago. Let me say it again thanks Not too often in life do you meet a friend like that if you even ever get to meet one. I loved him and will miss him Greatly!!!!!!!!
