Floyd Deel, Jr.
Bee, VA – Floyd Deel, Jr., age 70 of Sugar Cane Road, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at his home with his loving family and friends by his side. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of Lola Ester Rose Deel and the late James Floyd Deel. He was a retired mine foreman with Consol and member of Duty View Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Deel, a son, Kevin (Kathy) Deel of Bee, a daughter, Sheryl (Timothy) Bailey of Fletchers Ridge, his mother, Lola Ester Deel of Bee, a sister, Linda Carol (Darrell) Rasnake of Bee, grandchildren, Brandon Kyle Deel, Kaillen Abby Deel, Jamie Todd (Kimberly) Bailey, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Euyvonne Keen, Edsel and Ola Gay Breeding, Pauline Arrington, Inell Turner, and Dollie Smith, and many special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Noah Kim Edwards, Garnell Gilbert, and Barrett McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon, VA. Pallbearers will be Brad Boyd, Lonnie Boyd, Fonnie Boyd, Otis Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Wilson Allen, Elmer Burke, and Grover Dales. Honorary pallbearers will be Edsel Breeding, Kenneth Keen, Darrell Rasnake, Don Colley, Ronald Tiller, Brandon Deel, and Jamie Bailey. The family will receive friends after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4 where an evening service will be held at 6:30 p.m. with Elders Buford Deel and Jim Duty.
