Cumming, GA- Lucille Mounts, age 87, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013. Born February 20, 1926 in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Laura Mullins. She was one of eight children. She was an avid quilter, crafter, crossword puzzle solver, seamstress, baker and great cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank Lockhart, three brothers, three sisters and two husbands.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Owens (Brenda) and Joe Lockhart (Tammy) both of Breaks, a daughter, Nelladine Johnson (Len) Cumming, GA, where she has resided for the past 4 ½ years, nine grandchildren, Michael Owens (Gwyn), Richard Owens (Cherona), Greg Owens, Chuck Johnson, Darrell Johnson (Kris), Christian Johnson, Leigh Ann Lockhart, Frankie Lockhart (Michele), Daren Lockhart (Katie), a brother, Robert Mullins, Prince George, VA and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Breaks Church of Christ with Clint Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Haysi Funeral Home on Saturday, November 02, 2013.
