CAROL LEE GIBSON EDWARDS SMITH
Council, VA- Carol Lee Gibson Edwards Smith, age 40, passed away Friday, August 16, at her home. Born March 12, 1973 in Tazewell County, she is a daughter of JoAnn Gibson Stacy and the late Arnold Gibson. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Gibson and nieces, DeAnna Lee Gibson and Keelis Lee Gibson.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her four sons, Claudie Craig Edwards II, Chandler Lee Edwards, Christopher Lee Edwards and Cory Lee Edwards, three sisters, Connie Gibson and Doris (Ricky) Stacy both of Hurley and Bonnie Gibson of Lexington, NC, a brother, Ronnie Gibson of Hurley and a host of nieces and nephews. We, the Edwards boys want to thank everyone for their love and support and everything done to help us during the loss of our mother, especially Pastor David Cummings of Sandlick Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Pastor David Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson and Rife Cemetery, Hurley, VA.
