Birchleaf, VA – David Allen Deel, age 53, of Rakes Ridge Road passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 in Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. Born in Grundy, VA he was a son of the late Junior and Pinkie Fay Deel. He was last employed as a coal miner and of the primitive Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters.
Survivors include his children Belinda (Mackenzie) Meadows and Tonya Deel both of Richlands, VA, Desaree Deel of Clintwood, VA and Leigha Dawn Deel of Coeburn, VA; three grandchildren, Deezada and Ethan Meadows and Caden Caldwell; sisters, Mary (Dave) Kuhr of Fairhaven, MI and Sandra (Johnny) Justice of Clinchco, VA and two brothers, Larry Deel of Birchleaf, VA and Kenny (Joann) Deel of Paris, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Garnell Gilbert, Jim O’Quinn and Noah Kim Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the A.F. Deel Cemetery, Birchleaf, VA. Pallbearers will be Chris Cox, Rocky Deel, John Michael Justice, Mackenzie Meadows, Joel Rasnake, Chris Counts and Doug Counts.
