BROOKVILLE, OHIO – Russell Harrel Bostic, age 82 formally of Vansant, Virginia passed away May 28, 2023. He was a son of the late Alex and Laura Duty Bostic. He was a member of Free Christian Church-Big A Mountain and retired from Chrysler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Breeding Bostic, two sisters, Agnes Jones and Helen Thomas and six brothers, Ransom, Leonard, Norman, Raymond, Cuba and Donald.
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey (Lynn) Bostic, Vansant, VA, one grandson, Derek (Heather) Bostic, Honaker, VA., three great-grandchildren, Aulora, Kinsleigh, and Rowan. One brother, William Bostic, Lewisburg, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Haysi Funeral Home. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in the Bostic Family Cemetery, Glass Mountain Road, Vansant, Virginia. The family will receive friends after 12:00 p.m. prior to the service.
