Bee, VA – Sheila Rose Compton Brown, age 60, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN. She was a daughter of the late Howard and Nannie Ellen Rasnake Compton. Sheila was a 1980 Graduate of Haysi High School and of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Compton.
Survivors include her sisters, Pattie Sutherland of Davenport, VA and Tammy Eads of Cleveland, VA; nieces and nephews, Valerie Bailey, Lauren McCurdy, Cheryl Barton, Heather Oquinn, Chase Compton, Junior Eades and Justin Eades; a special friend, Velvet and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 in the Stratton Sutherland Cemetery, Bee, VA. Pallbearers will be Chase Compton, Chris Oquinn, Derek Barton, Dodi Bailey, Jake Gilbert and Junior Lester. Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 at Haysi Funeral Home with Jeff Tiller officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. prior to service.
