VANSANT- Brady Leon Deel, age 79 of Brady Drive passed away Sunday March 5, 2023 at Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon, VA. He was a son of the late Bruce and Mary Jane Runyon Deel. He was of the Freewill Baptist Faith, last employed as a coal miner and was a member of the UMWA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Stocklin Deel, brothers, William and Henry, sisters Rosella & Trula and infant siblings.
He is survived by seven brothers, Jimmy (Reda) Deel, Harmon VA, Lloyd (Pamela) Deel, Vansant, VA, Vester (Kathy) Deel, Abingdon, VA, Ronald (Lenetta) Deel, Grundy, VA, Steve Deel, Vansant, VA, Edgar (Pat) Deel, Ligonier, IN and Edis (Mary) Deel, Ligonier, IN.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Haysi Funeral Home with Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Deel Cemetery, Glass Mountain Road, Vansant, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 where a song service will be held at 7:00 pm.
