BEE VA-Patricia Nell Jackson, age 72 of Velvet Lane passed away Monday January 30, 2023, at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA. Born in Buchanan County she was a daughter of the late Harless Lockhart and Beulah Breeding Duty. She was of the Christian faith, a homemaker and retired security officer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Rasnake, and niece Sandra Kay Rasnake.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Barton and partner Jina, Rosedale, VA, Dale Barton and wife Mickie of Bumpass, VA, Allen Barton, Davenport, VA, former husband and father of her sons, Lewis Barton, six grandchildren, Jeremy Barton, Courtney Barton, Tyler Barton, Lindsey Barton, Nikki Barton and Jayonna Kiser, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Norma (Phillip) Gilliam, Dungannon, VA, three brothers, Richard (Joyce) Duty, Randall (Cheryl) Duty, and Rodney (Brenda) Duty all of Bee, VA, special friends, Daryl and Angie Owens and their daughters Alyssa and Emma Owens, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at Haysi Funeral Home with Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Graveside services will be conducted, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Family Cemetery, Davenport, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
