Haysi, VA – Beulah Mae Owens, age 94 of Lovers Gap Road passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at her home. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Crissie Willis Wright. Beulah was a homemaker and a member of Greenbrier Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Ray Owens; a daughter, Lucretia Rae Owens; a son, Scotty Owens; a step-son, Gary Owens; a grandson, Daniel Ray Owens; sisters, Carrie Lee Oquinn, Kathleen Mullins, Didema Anderson and June Stiltner and a brother, Elmer Wright.
Survivors include her daughters, Shelia Owens Thacker of Loris, SC, Wilma (Danny) Prater of Abingdon, VA, and Barbara Jo (Terry) Thacker of Haysi, VA; sons, Dennis Keith Owens and Randy Edward (Mona) Owens both of Haysi, VA and Eric (Patty) Owens of Pounding Mill, VA; a brother, Irvin Wright; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Owens; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with Mike Rife officiating. Burial will follow in the A.J. Edwards Cemetery, Birchleaf, VA.
