Haysi, VA – Kevin Mark Edwards, age 55 of Big Ridge Road passed away Monday, November 21,2022 at Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital, Tazewell, VA. He was a simple man; loved fishing and his chickens. Born in Maryland he was the son of the late Robert Edwards and Janice Ann Skeens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Mary Edwards.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Sarah (Larry) Sturgill of Clintwood, VA; a stepson, Jason Deel of the home; a brother, Wayne Edwards of Wise, VA; three grandsons, Connor, T.J. and Dallas; an uncle, Danny (Loretta) Edwards of Clinchco, VA; an aunt, Dixie Edwards of Haysi, VA; special friend, Mike Prater and many other close family members and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with Danny Edwards officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Sturgill, Michael Turner, Joshua Turner, Mike Prater, Chris Edwards & Clayton Deel. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Counts Chapel Cemetery, Clinchco, VA.
