Bee, VA – Brady Church, age 79 of Sullivan Branch, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at his residence. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Claude Swanson and Lacy Thomas Church. He was self employed and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shelvy Jean Duty and two brothers, Don and Cecil Clyde Church.
Survivors include his son, Brady Jr. (Brenda) Duty of Davenport, VA, three grandchildren; Elizabeth Duty, Brady Carroll Duty, and Brandon Lee Duty, three great-grandchildren, Leanna Sweeney, Christopher Duty, and Mason Duty, six brothers; Carmel (Helen) Church of Galion, OH, Clifford (Janie) Church of Vansant, VA, Dempsey Church of Davenport, Dave Church of Birchleaf, VA, Eugene (Teresa) Church and Darnell (Judy) Church both of Haysi, VA , four sisters; Sue Colley of Richlands, VA, Ida Baldwin of Grundy, VA, Karen (Larry) Keen of Vansant, and Linda Schmidt of Bristol, and a special friend, Don Owens.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Mark Justice, Jackie Yates, and Roger Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Owens Cemetery, Murphy Road. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8 at the funeral home where a song service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
