Bandy, VA – Lindsey “Bubby” Deel, Jr., age 35 of Prayer Lane, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2022 as a result of a car accident. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of Sylvia Wright Deel and the late Lindsey Deel, Sr. He was of the Baptist faith and last employed as a coal miner. He was an avid deer and coon hunter and enjoyed spending time with his friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harvey Endicott and Carol Miller and paternal grandparents, Vester Deel and Lois Belcher.
In addition to his mother survivors include a daughter, Lakenzie Rose Deel, Vansant, VA, a sister, Charity Deel, Bandy, VA, niece, Candace Dye, nephew, Dylan Dye, special aunt, Bea Steele and brother-in-law, Willie Dye. Several aunts, uncles and loved ones also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home the Reverend Tommy Dye officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the funeral service. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the O’quinn Deel Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be Harvey Endicott, Paul Endicott, Michael Steele, Jeff Kiser, Tyler Grose and Mason Mullins. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
