VANSANT-Zella Ann Boyd, age 66 of Lover’s Gap Road passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of late James and Mary Hunt McCoy. She was a homemaker and was of the Old Regular Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Boyd, grandson, David Arnold Childress, three brothers, Raymond, Danny Ray and James Arland McCoy and infant sister Elsie Mae McCoy.
Survivors include her husband Larry Boyd, two daughters, Tammy (David) Childress, Raven, VA and Amanda Boyd, Vansant, VA, one son, Justin (Megan Potter) Boyd, Oakwood, VA. Six grandchildren Johnny Childress, Brynlee Boyd, Easton Potter, Weston Potter, Cheyenne Keen, and Dakota Keen, one sister, Judy (Farley) Ramey, Bull Creek, VA, several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend of the family, Cera Bast Boyd also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. prior to funeral services. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Boyd Cemetery, Prater. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
