Loreen Pinyan Bice, 94, who lived in Clinchco, Virginia, found her way home on May 15, 2022, after a long struggle with dementia. She passed surrounded by a family whom she loved and cherished. She spent her life making friends and tangibly showing her love through sewing, crafting, cooking, and caring for those around her. Loreen was able to make connections with people instantly. Even employees of the businesses she frequented would surprise her with cards and gifts. Her hugs provided healing. She was preceded in death by her husband (Wilford Gaither Bice) and nine siblings. Her legacy includes four children Martha Kay Mondrage (Daniel), of Clinchco, VA; Loretta Fay Sykes (Ronald) of Birchleaf. VA; Wilford Dwayne Bice (Georgia) of Taylor, MI; and Edwin Monroe Bice (Laura) of Abingdon, VA. Among the many joys of her life were her nine grandchildren (Pam, Steven, Brett, Cyndi, Eric, Alex, Raymond, Abigail, and Worth) and their spouses, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with Rob Knepp officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. prior to funeral services. Burial will follow Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Duck River Baptist Church Cemetery, Cullman, AL.
