Obituary for Mavis Fields (Fuller)

HAYSI, VA – Mavis Fuller Fields, age 84 of Caudle Lane, Haysi passed away April 27, 2022 at her home. She was the daughter of Caudle and Ada Counts Fuller. She was a member of Bartlick Presbyterian Church and was last employed as a coal truck driver. She was the owner and operator of Miss Mavis Trucking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Fields, the fathers of her children, Jimmie Carel Mullins and Jimmy Ray Edwards, granddaughter, Rachel Garrett, step-daughter, Marsha Gibson, step-grandsons, Nathan Fields and Anthony Craig Gibson, and one brother Darrell Fuller.
She is survived by two daughters, Regina (Dennis) Hall, Danville, VA and Robin Edwards, Haysi, VA., two step-sons, David (Michelle) Fields, and Michael Fields both of Haysi, VA. Nine grandchildren Deborah (Noah) Reynolds, Heather (Justin) Doebert, Elizabeth Hall, Sheena (Matt) Baker, Cody Gibson, Logan Gibson, Taylor Gibson, Telena Turner, Tyler Turner, and nine great-grandchildren, Hayden Baker, Matthew Coleman, Jake Coleman, Dennis Dean Wallace, David O’Quinn, Nick Allred, Rosaleigh Reynolds, Hunter Scott Fields and Cooper Ryan Fields, two sisters, Eurabell (Stoney) Fields and Lois (Denny) Sutherland and three brothers, Dannie (Ruth) Fuller, Noah (Linda) Fuller and Lonnie (Agnes) Fuller also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Haysi Funeral Home with John R. Whitner officiating. Friends can call after 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening prior to service. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 in the Mitchell Senter Cemetery, Haysi, VA with Lonnie Fuller officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to her nurse, Christa Swiney.
