Haysi, VA – Charles Douglas Ratliff, age 79 of Brayden Road passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Heritage Hall, Grundy, VA. Born in Buchanan County he was a son of the late Lawrence and Sarah Combs Ratliff. He was a 1960 Graduate of Haysi High School, a carpenter and loved gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Newberry Ratliff.
Survivors include his daughters, Debra Jo Alton of Haysi, VA, Paula Ann (David) Ehlers of Lenoir, NC, Sonja Leigh (Michael) Wickham of Cartersville, GA and Norma Kay Ratliff of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Charles Timothy Clevinger, Emelia Korynoski, Alexander Wickham, Brent Wickham and Lindsey Morenus; great grandchildren, Celeste Clevinger and Grayson Clevinger and very close friends, Connie Baker, Ed Bailey and Henry Woods.
