Etta Jane Turner
Abingdon, VA – Etta Jane Turner, age 79 of Astor Road passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at her home. Born in Haysi, Virginia she was a daughter of the late Johnny Ellis and Goldia Edwards Colley. She was a homemaker, a caretaker and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray Colley and a sister, Betty R. Edwards.
Survivors include her husband, Joel Turner; a daughter, Charlene Leonard of Abingdon, VA; two sons, Noel Turner and Vincent Turner both of Abingdon, VA; grandchildren, Brock Leonard, Cody Stanley, Tasha Turner, Trevor Turner and Nicki Turner; five great grandchildren; a brother, Benford (Vicki) Colley of Lake Anna, VA; sisters, Cathy (Tom) Chaffin of Spotsylvania, VA and Alice Faye Williams of Haysi, VA and a special caregiver, Mary Etta Turner of Abingdon, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Garnell Gilbert and Jimmy Counts officiating. Entombment will be held at a later date in the Colley Cemetery, Haysi, VA.
