Obituary for Fayne Rasnick
CLINCHCO VA – Fayne Rasnick, age 67 of Stevens Ridge, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. He was the son of the late Tyler and Nannie Thomas Rasnick.
He retired from the coal mines after working 35+ years. He was an active member of the UMWA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lester Rasnick.
Survivors include four sons, Will (Sharon) Lester, Joshua (Jessica) Rasnick, Travis (Kristi) Rasnick, and J.T. Rasnick all of Nealy Ridge, VA. Grandchildren, Devin, Kayli, Chase, Alexa, Walker, Elijah, Noah, Jocelyn, Jacob, Jaxon, Josiah and Allie, five great grandchildren, mother-in-law, Lillie Epling of Haysi, VA, brother-in-law, Gerald (Melissa) Epling, Jr of Bristol, four brothers Joe Rasnick of Michigan, Tivis (Kathleen) Rasnick of Nealy Ridge, Arlie (Shirley) Rasnick of Northern VA, Ronnie (Shenia) Rasnick of Nealy Ridge and one sister, Ida (Ken) Branham of Ramsey Ridge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Haysi Funeral Home with Michael Rasnick officiating. Burial will follow at Rasnick Cemetery, Nealy Ridge. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Devin, Chase, Walker, Elijah, Noah, Jacob, Jaxon and Josiah. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Branham, Dave Duty, Joe Elliott, Ricky Stevens, Jesse Stevens, Doug Prater, Scott Moore and all his trail riding friends.
The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Haysi Funeral Home, where an evening service will be held at 7 p.m.
