Obituary for Kenny L. Hill

Clintwood, VA – Kenny L. Hill, age 45 of Will and Emma Lane passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. He was a son of Melba Hill and the late Gary Hill. A 1994 Graduate of Haysi High School, he was co-owner of Hillcom, Inc. and Hill Construction, Inc. Kenny was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and sports fan, coaching all types of little league sports for many years and a huge supporter of Haysi and Ridgeview Athletics. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend with a heart of gold. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Dereck and grandparents, Ervin and Virginia Hill and Nolan Rasnick.
In addition to his mother, Melba Hill and fiancé John Cole, he is survived by his wife, Penny Hill; a son, Guage Hill; a daughter, Peyton Hill; a brother, Brandon (Kayla) Hill; grandmother, Arbutus Rasnick; special nephew and niece, Owen and Isla Hill; father and mother in law, Roger and Debbie Fuller; brother in law, Brian (Tina) Fuller and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 at Haysi Funeral Home with Rob Knepp officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Cemetery, Clintwood, VA. Pallbearers will be Bobby Perrigan, Collin Hillman, John Rasnick, Michael Looney, Larry Edwards, Johnny Blair, Patrick Vitatoe, Johnny Fleming and Matthew Blansett. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Hillman and Brian Ratliff. A visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ridgeview High School Football Program, Attn: Kent Grant, 310 Wolfpack Way, Clintwood, VA 24228 and Southern Gap Outdoor Adventure, 1124 Chipping Sparrow Road, Grundy, VA 24614 for Kenny’s Field.
