California – Robin Beth Owens, age 38, formerly of Haysi, VA passed away Friday, January 1, 2021. She was a daughter of Dorothy Myrtle Looney Owens and the late Johnny Virgil Owens. She was a graduate of Haysi High School and retired from the Marines. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by grandparents, Virgil and Naomi Owens, and Edna and Elijah Looney and a niece.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Arora Iliana Gomez of CA, two brothers, Jonathan Owens of Haysi and Johnny Edwards of Raleigh, NC, and a sister, Regina Hill of Raleigh.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Garnell Gilbert and Noah Kim Edwards officiating.
