Haysi, VA – Larry Walker Rose, age 72 of Laurel Branch, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was a son of the late Joe and Elizabeth Barton Rose. He was a former co-owner of Rose Brothers Recapping, retired correctional officer, and member of Frying Pan Independent Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings; Fearl, Edgar, Palmer, Clara, Ruth, Onsby, Ervin, Nannie, Fannie, and Janice.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Rose, a daughter, Kimberley Rose of Haysi, a son, Mike (Heather) Rose of Haysi, a grandchild, Michaela Rose, siblings; Texas Rose, Nancy (Rocky) Roland, Luther Rose, Olen (Francis) Rose, Karl (Tammy) Rasnick, and Carlina (Ralph) Boji, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Carl and Alice Arrington Cemetery, Haysi with Paul Rose officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Rose, Jonathan Robinson, Jamie Arrington, Brandon Arrington, and Ricky Paul Arrington. For the health and safety of all, the family requests that anyone who attends the service please wear a mask and social distance as much as possible.
