Honaker, VA- Polly Tipton Mullins, age 80, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Cody and Dorothy Harrison Tipton. She was a homemaker and was a Freewill Baptist Church member. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Mullins, infant son, John, a brother, Johnny Tipton and a sister, Shelia Taylor.
Survivors include sons, Don “Bub” (Margaret) Mullins of Honaker and Billy (Alma) Mullins of Rowe, grandsons, Billy Joe (Raschell) Mullins, Mark (Sarah) Mullins, Cody Mullins and a granddaughter, Lekeshia Mullins, great-grandchildren, Aryssa, Caleb, Seryah and Jonah, step great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Easton, sisters, Mildred Salyers of Richmond and Marlene McCowan of Clinchco and brothers, Roger Tipton of Clinchco and Claude Tipton of Richmond.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Haysi Funeral Home with Cody Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at the Epling Cemetery, Breaks, VA. Pallbearers will be Cody, Mark and Bill Mullins, Dennis Tipton, Rick Dotson and Michael and Joshua Ball. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the funeral home with a song service at 7:00 p.m.
