Obituary for Hazel Priscilla Boyd (Lockhart)
Vansant, VA – Hazel Priscilla Lockhart Boyd was born May 18, 1952. She was escorted to Heaven by angels on September 4, 2020. She was a member of Big A Mountain Free Christian Church. Ms. Boyd was a past manager of a New Peoples Bank and a Carter Bank and Trust. She was preceded in death by her parents Omar Scott and Aeolus Presley Lockhart, one sister, Reva Bedwell, three brothers, Scottie, Weinthal, and Dean Lockhart.
Survivors include two sisters, Marla Jackson and husband B.J. of San Antonio, TX and Temple Gilbert and husband Garnell of Vansant, a niece, Michaiah Jackson, two nephews, G.W. Bedwell and David Lockhart, a brother-in-law, Glen Bedwell, great niece, Madison Bedwell, and four great nephews, William Bedwell, Lucian Lockhart, Jensen Lockhart, and River Lockhart.
A graveside service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the Presley Cemetery, Vansant with Edward Tiller officiating. Pallbearers will be B.J. Jackson, David Lockhart, Freddie Fuller, Michael James, Bobbie Murphy, Allan Presley, Denver Owens, and Wade Compton.
