BLANCHE CHAFFIN
Dante, VA- Blanche Chaffin, age 76, of Counts Ridge, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at her home. Born in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Hollis and Rachel Stevens. She was a homemaker and very active in helping with school concession in Dickenson and Wise. Clinch River Little League Athletic field was named in her honor. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clayton Chaffin, sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Sylvia Wolf and brother, Harold Stevens.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Kiser (Charlie Osborne) of Dante and Crystal Hess (Mark Stanley) of Clintwood, sisters, Glenda Cromer (Eddie), Shirley Phillips (Arthur), Katherine French (Dean) and a brother, Henry Stevens (Judy), grandchildren, James Kiser, Wesley Kiser, Timmy Hess, Destiny Hess and great- grandchildren, Bentley and Jade Kiser.
