Vansant, VA- Dollie Chambers, age 92 of King Fisher Road, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020 at Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Jefferson and Arviline Deel Charles. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Chambers, a son, George Hank Chambers, brothers, Astor, Troy, John, Lawson and Omar Charles, half-brother, Charlie Deel and half-sister, Zella Owens.
Survivors include sons, Charlie Powell (Ruth) Chambers and Johnny Michael Chambers and companion, Rhonda Boyd both of Prater, a sister, Cathleen Deel of Birchleaf, four grandchildren, Melanie (Doug) Boyd, Amanda (Brad) Clevinger, Nathan (Sherri) Chambers and Jamie Chambers, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Charles-Deel Cemetery, Viers Branch Road, Vansant, VA with Michael Boyd officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
