Haysi, VA- Jeremy Shane Gibson, age 29, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019. Born in Norton, VA, he was a 2008 Clintwood High School graduate and a member of the football team. He was a heavy equipment operator for Hall Construction in Matewan, WV and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Kristen Gibson, a daughter Arabella Zeppelin Gibson, father and step-mother, Glenn and Pamela Gibson of Big Stone Gap, mother, Melinda Colley of Clintwood, a brother, Jason (Sara) Gibson of Tulsa, OK, a step-brother, Robert (Timaree) Joe of Dubai, Saudi Arabia, a step-sister, Jasmine Joe of Asheville, NC, maternal grandmother, Jeanette Colley of Clintwood, father and mother-in-law, Richie and Teresa Edwards of Haysi, grandparents-in-law, Kenny and Cassie Edwards of Haysi and Marna Charles of Haysi.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Haysi Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Wayne Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Family cemetery.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
