GERTRUDE RASNAKE
Haysi, VA- Gertrude Rasnake, age 81 of Lovers Gap Road, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at Bristol Regional Medical Center Hospice House in Bristol, TN. She was a daughter of the late Mack and Lilly Mae Daniels Colley. She last worked in the sewing factory at Honaker Mills and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Ervin Rasnake and a son, Greg Rasnake.
Survivors include her children, Gary Wayne (Joanette) Rasnake of Palmyra, VA, Benny Mack Rasnake of Haysi, Jennifer (Robbie) Colley-Wann of Abingdon, John Patrick (Sheila) Rasnake of Vansant and Amanda Jo (Ken Stevens) Colley of TN, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters, Frances Duty, Marie Sullivan and Sue (Ferrell) Boyd, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Haysi Funeral Home with Johnny Turner officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Thursday prior to funeral services. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Colley Family Cemetery, Murphy, VA. Pallbearers will be Richard Rasnake, Jeff Yates, Michael Steele, Jason Dhooghe, Keith Colley, Jack Sullivan, Shane Rasnake, Billy Reese, Dylan Rasnake and Greg Rasnake.
