Abingdon, VA- Shelby Jean Owens, age 79, of Harmony Hills Lane, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Abingdon Health and Rehab in Abingdon, VA. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Lindsey D. and Biddie Jackson Breeding. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James H. Boyd, a brother, Dallas Breeding, half- sister, Loretta Boyd and half-brothers, Curtis, Junior and Herman Breeding.
Survivors include her children, Patricia (David) Greer of NC, Melissa (Mark) Wright of Castlewood, Nona Sutherland and Darlene (Brian) Phelps both of Bristol, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters, Linda (Bill) Boyd, Jeanette (Jerry) Richards, Barbara (Sam) Stiltner, half-sisters, Sophia Johnson and Ora Boyd, brothers, Delmer (Mary Lou) Breeding, Jessie Breeding, Billy (Lorene) Breeding, Danny (Ginger) Breeding and Lonnie (Sandy) Breeding.
