WAYNE “MOON” MULLINS
Chesterfield, VA- Curtis Wayne “Moon” Mullins, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 19, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Mae and Noah Burns Mullins, three sisters and three brothers. Wayne served in Vietnam from July 1966 to July 1967.
Survivors include his children, Sean Mullins (Michelle), Jennifer Atwater, Michael Mullins and Courtney Vaughan, three grandchildren, one sister and five brothers.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Morrissett Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. Route 10, where his Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 3:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church, Haysi, VA. Burial will follow in Mullins-Puckett Cemetery, The Lake Road. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church prior to funeral service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in his name to www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
