RUFUS CAROL HOLBROOKS
Haysi, VA- Rufus Carol Holbrooks, age 82 of Norma Place, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his home.
Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Charlie Tivis and Ethel Stanley Holbrooks. He served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force and was last employed as a U.S. postal worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mie Jenny Holbrooks, a daughter, Sherri Lovelace, 2nd wife, Norma Jean Hill Holbrooks and a brother, Junior Holbrooks.
Survivors include a son, Terry Ray (Sherry) Holbrooks of Rock Island, TN, step-sons, Jimmy (Debra) Hill of Clinchco, Jamie (Mary) Hill of Pennington Gap and Lee (Jessica) Hill of Haysi, grandchildren, Gala Holbrooks and Tiara, several step-grandchildren, step-mother, Virginia Holbrooks, a sister, Marie Montana and several step brothers and sisters.
