Devie Martin Owens

Haysi, VA – Devie Martin Owens, age 59 of Tivis Ridge, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at his residence. Born in Michigan, he was a son of the late Junior and Elizabeth Owens. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Kingsport, TN, and was last employed as a carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Donald Owens.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Owens, a son, Michael (Angela) Owens of Bristol, VA, step-children; Jonathan (Denise) Stiltner of Galax, VA, Bernice Jones of Galax, and Rocky Reynolds of Haysi, sisters; Dixie B. Reynolds of Kingsport, Lora Looney of Kingsport, Sandy Owens of Lebanon, and Mae Yates of Bristol, VA, a brother, Ricky Owens of Jonesborough, TN, a grandson, Zachary Owens, a granddaughter on the way, Kaitlyn Elizabeth, and several step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elder Rick Mullins officiating.
