Obituary for Gary "Ked" Robinson

Mr. Gary “Ked” Robinson age 72 of Loudon, TN, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at 1:05 a.m. in the Heritage Hall Nursing Home following a brave fight against cancer. Born August 21, 1946, in Haysi, VA, he was the son of the late Roland and Leah Price Robinson. Ked was a member of the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 reaching the rank of Specialist 5., a member of the American Legion of Loudon, TN, a member of the Baptist faith, and a retired mechanic from Bartley Chevrolet in Haysi, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jenkins Robinson and 1 brother, Ross Tim Robinson.
Survivors include 2 sons, Mr. Matthew Colley, Jason Colley and wife Sallie, 1 step son Johnny Colley and wife Pam, all of Titusville, FL, 3 sisters, Glory Lamar of Crossville, TN, Dayne Edwards and husband Larry of Birchleaf, VA, Jan Tanner and husband Ronald of Richlands, VA, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren , 1 great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Haysi Funeral Home with Dr. Marc Brooks officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Robinson Family Cemetery in Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be Roland Edwards, Dwayne Edwards, Drew Edwards, Jay Ferland, Ron Tanner and Shane Hillman. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Edwards, Jared Ferland, and George Ferland. The family will receive friends after 11:00 a.m. on Monday prior to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Children’s Leukemia.
