Ernie stood up shook my hand and offered be a seat to sit down and chat a while. He signed my cowboy hat along with Dave and Marty R and Bo I. I Loved his music and he was such a great person! He will be missed! My prayers are with you all!!

Message to the Family: Thinking of all the good memories this morning our family shared with Ernie. He truly was a great person and had such a wonderful talent. Sending Love and Prayers for peace and comfort.

Message to the Family: Asking God to give each family member, comfort, peace and strength during this difficult time. Ernie was a true gentleman who loved God, his family and friends. He will be remembered as a guy who loved bluegrass music and it showed each time he stepped on the stage to play. I remember Ernie when he sang lead for the late Dr. Ralph Stanley. He has graced the stage with many well known bluegrass people and bands. He did an awesome job when he sang our National Anthem at the opening of a NASCAR race. Rest assured that Ernie has received his complete healing and is resting in the arms of Jesus. The heavens choir received a new member the day Ernie past. He is singing with his mom, dad, family and friends. I'm sure Dr. Ralph Stanley was there as well as others to welcome Ernie home.
