Haysi, VA- Jack Mullins, age 80 of Madison Road, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Arlie and Bethel Cochran Mullins. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was last employed as a mechanic for TRW Automotive. He was a member of the VFW and Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathaleen Mullins, a sister, Betty Forgash and brothers, Jim and Bart Mullins Jr.
Survivors include four daughters, Jackie (George) Napier of Macomb, MI, Sonja Mullins of Haysi, Terry (Bob) McKenzie of Troy, MI and Renee (Frank) Presley of Haysi, a son, Gregory (Sharon) Mullins of Rochester Hills, MI, sisters, Lucille Jones of Edison, OH, Lois Rose of Madison Heights, MI and Mary Ottinger of Clear Water, FL, grandchildren, Scott (Sherry) Presley, Kristy (Willis) Bentley, Ryan Presley, Destiny Presley, Breanna Presley, Bryan (Amber) Mullins, Jeff Mullins, Andrea (Cory) Vyse and Jessica (Deriek) McKenzie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Haysi Funeral Home with Edward Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in Mullins Cemetery, Haysi, VA. VA Army National Guard Honors Team and Dickenson County Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Rites.
