JAMES EDWARD COLLEY

Dayton, OH- James Edward Colley, age 71, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late James and Gladys Owens Colley. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of VFW Post #3283. He last worked at Grandview Hospital for 32 years, first as a nurse and then as a physician’s assistant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Buddy Colley and Kimberly Colley, brothers, Cleveland Colley, Clayton Colley and Danny Ray Colley and sisters-in-law, Linda Gay Colley, Mildred Colley and Donna Faye Colley.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, brothers, Keith (Bonita) Colley, Ralph (Jean) Colley, Jeff (Trish) Colley and Don (Annette) Colley all of Vansant.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Lester Boyd officiating. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15 at Colley Cemetery, Vansant, VA. Nephew will serve as pallbearers.
