CAROL “BUBBY” YATES

Haysi, VA- Carol “Bubby” Yates, age 69, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home. Born July 29, 1949 in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Charlie H. and Stella Yates.
Survivors include a sister, Lynda Fay Yates of Haysi, two brothers, Harold Yates of Bucyrus, Ohio and Howard (Elizabeth) Yates of Newton, NC, two nieces, Vicky and Skenyon Hanson and Debbie and Jason Krantz, two nephews, Jeffery and Donna Yates and Jason Yates, a great niece, Lydia Yates and three great nephews, Aaron Shelton and Alec and Aden Yates.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Mickey Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in Yates Family Cemetery, Haysi, VA. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. with Russell Lockhart officiating.
