Obituary for William Moscoe Rasnake

William Moscoe  Rasnake
Bee, VA- William Moscoe Rasnake, age 91 of Fisherman’s Drive, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Ira and Ercil Sykes Rasnake. He served in the U.S. Army, was a coal truck driver and last worked as supply truck driver for Clinchfield Warehouse 6. He was a member of Duty View Primitive Baptist Church, Haysi Kiwanis Club and UMWA Local 7170. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Rasnake, daughters, Ernestene and Loretta Rasnake and sisters, Lona Bishop and Lemorra Presley.
Survivors include three sons, Darrell (Carol) Rasnake and Dexter Rasnake both of Bee and Danny (Michelle) Rasnake of Honaker, sisters, Ellen Presley of Bee, Lucille Smith of Elkhorn City, KY, Jane Presley and Marlene Breeding both of Davenport, Janice (Frank) Deckart of Houston, TX, Lorene (Bryan) Deel of Vansant and Gail Williams of Crewe, VA and a brother Monroe (Florence) Rasnake of Rosehill, VA, grandchildren, Jennifer O’Quinn, Dakota Rasnake, LeAnna Looney and MaKenna Rasnake, great-grandchildren, Dylan, Alyssa and Wyatt O’Quinn and Henry Looney.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Noah Kim Edwards, Jim Duty and Jim O’quinn officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery, Bee, VA. Pallbearers will be Terrance Potter, Jeff Bostic, Henry Lester, Roger Perkins, Jordan Mullins, Denver Owens, Randy Breeding, Garnie Sykes, Joe Owens and Dennis Powers.
