Homer David Willis

Richmond, VA – Homer David Willis, age 91, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 in Haysi, VA. He was the 8th of 10 children born to the late Eddie and Sara Willis. He was a retired professor having taught for 42 years in both high school and college. Mr. Willis was the first chairman of the accounting department at RPI now VCU. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Arnold, Earl, Edith, Olyve, Lois, Polly, Bert, Carl, and Neil. David was the last of his generation.
Services and entombment will be in Richmond, VA later this week at Nelsen Funeral Home.
Haysi Funeral Home and Nelsen Funeral Home are in charge of the arrangements.
