Richard Eugene Meisegeier
Birchleaf, VA – Richard Eugene Meisegeier, age 77 of Robinson Mountain, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his residence. Born in Michigan, he was a son of the late Reynolds and Florence Miller Meisegeier. He was last employed as a barber and was an ordained minister of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Lance Meisegeier.
Survivors include his wife, Netta Meisegeier, children, Kurt Carter of Alabama, Beth Duncan of Florida, and Lynn Carter of Alabama, grandchildren, Cody Meisegeier and Ashley Johnson, a brother, Dean Meisegeier of Michigan, two brothers-in-law, Bill (Doreen) Robinson and Mack Robinson of Birchleaf, a sister-in-law, Jean Fuller of Richlands, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elder Mark Justice officiating.
