Obituary for Thomas Dewey Stiltner

Thomas Dewey  Stiltner
THOMAS DEWEY STILTNER
Vansant, VA- Thomas Dewey Stiltner, age 69 of Bear Branch Road, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Clayton and Hattie McClanahan Stiltner. He was a coal miner and member of UMWA Local #7025 and a member of Coleman’s Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Claytina and brothers, Fred, James and Roy Stiltner.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Stiltner, step-mother, Ann Coleman, a daughter, Kimberly (Larry) Dotson of Prater and a son, Thomas David (Kimberly) Stiltner of Bristol, TN, grandchildren, Nikkie, Jada, Molly, Travis, Andrew and Megan, sisters, Cheryl Sexton, Mary Spencer, Sue, Carol, Brenda, Anita, Helen and Jennie and brothers, Michael, Herman, Anthony “Jake” and Tommy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Coleman’s Methodist Church with Darrell Thacker and Russell Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery, Bear Branch Road, Vansant, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
