Davenport, VA- Imogene Jackson, age 91, went to be with Lord Thursday, May 4, 2017. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Girtha O’quinn Deel. She was a homemaker and member of Breeding Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Jackson, a son, Leon and wife Kathy Jackson, brothers, Woodrow, Freddie and Edward Deel and a sister, Marie Savage.
Survivors include two sons, William (Kitty) Jackson and Treamon Jackson both of Davenport, grandchildren, Sherry, Gregory and Rickie Jackson all of Taylor, MI, Amanda J. Harrington of Brownstown, MI, Timothy Jackson of Pillsboro, IN Thomas Jackson of Holiday, FL, Billy Jackson of Roanoke, Tara Ann Jackson of Davenport, Jamie Wilson and Wade Jackson both of Lebanon and Benjamin Jackson of Christiansburg, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, brothers, Waldon (Ilene) Deel of Abingdon and Willard (Wilma) Deel of Damascus and special friends, Ruby Kiser and Maxine Deel Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Garnell Gilbert, Jim Duty and Barrett McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery, Davenport, VA. Pallbearers will be Billy Jackson, Tim Jackson, Wade Jackson, Ben Jackson, Greg Jackson and Rick Jackson.
