Vansant, VA – Mildred Ann Colley, age 55, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 03, 2017. Born in Harlan, KY she was a daughter of the late Walter and Geraldine Harris Lynthlin. She was last employed as a bus driver for Buchanan County Schools and was a member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter G. Lynthlin and Harold E. Lynthlin and a sister, Stella Lynthlin.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Colley; a daughter, Marsha (Darrien) Stanley of Vansant, VA; a son, James Colley of Vansant, VA; a grandson, David Lee Colley; brothers, Kelly (Debbie) Halcomb and William C. Lynthlin; sisters, Emma K. Mays and Shirley L. Lynthlin; a sister-in-law, Betty Phillips and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Roy Lee Wilson and Kyle Ratliff officiating. The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Owens Cemetery, Vansant, VA. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Colley, Timmy Colley, Chris Colley, Andrew Colley, Daniel Colley, David Colley, Johnny William Colley, Rick Stevens, Charles Stevens, Tracy Tiller, and Troy Colley.
