Clintwood, VA- Mary Elizabeth Edwards, age 70 of Big Ridge Road, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at Dickenson Community Hospital in Clintwood, VA. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Parkis Cephas and Beatrice Brooks Stanley. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Goldie Fuller, Lucille Fuller, Lillie Deel and Helen Stanley and three brothers, Ray, Carson and Ervin Stanley.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin Mark Edwards, a son, Jason C. Deel of Clintwood, a daughter, Sarah Paige Mullins of Clintwood, three brothers, Robert Stanley, Joby Stanley and Caudle Stanley all of Haysi, a sister, Gaynell Amos and three grandchildren, Conner, Thomas and Dallas Mullins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elder Roger Fuller officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Counts Chapel Cemetery, Clinchco, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to funeral service.
