Obituary for Manilla Bell (Counts)

Manilla  Bell (Counts)
Hollister, FL- Manilla C. (Neal) Bell, age 89, went home to walk beside her Lord and Savior, Monday, April 10, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Haysi, VA and had been a resident of Hollister for the past thirty eight years coming from Haysi. Manila was a homemaker who loved to play cards, walk the land, tell stories and be surrounded by family and loved ones. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Coe and Elsie Counts; a daughter, Cathy Lynn Deel; four brothers, Avery, Hillard; Bobby Joe and Johnny Counts; three sisters, Rita Mullins; Nina Counts and Kitty Sue Counts and two grandsons, John Michael Burton and Dustin Heath Mullins.
Surviving are six daughters and three sons-in-law, Danie Louise Burton of Lincoln Park, MI, Jeannie Estrada of Hollister, Marega and Dale DeLizio of Troy MI, Crystal and Carl Clark of Butler, TN, Sandra and John Griffen of Keystone Heights and Bridget Mullins of Hollister; two sons and daughters-in-law, Forester “Bubby” and Blanca Mullins and Edward and Vonda Bell both of Haysi; two sisters; Juanita Wilson and Gail Collins both of Hollister; 27 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Danny Sluss officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Willis Cemetery, Haysi, VA. The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to funeral service. Memorial gifts may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
